Summer is almost over. How do I slow down time?

Time flies when you're having fun. These days it passes quickly, even when you are not having fun. Now that summer is almost over; you need to start thinking about back-to-school shopping. But have you crossed off all the items on your summer to-do list? Did you remember to stop and reflect on or capture the special moments? Oh, and are you one of those moms that have already started thinking about Christmas and your annual family photo for your Christmas cards? I am not the best at time management, and I do not have a time-turner like Hermoine, and I'm not a Charmed One. But I have some ways I can help.

Make time for yourself.

You have heard the phrase "put your oxygen mask on first." There is a lot of truth to that when it comes to self-care. If you take time for yourself, you will have more patience and be more mindful when you spend time with others. Schedule designated time for you to do something you love or something that will make you feel pampered. As a side note, you might want to carve out a little time each day when you know you won't be interrupted to do those pesky mom things like paying bills and scheduling doctor's appointments so that they do not interfere with family time.

Plan your family time.

You know, 99% of the time, it will happen if it is on your calendar. So schedule that family picnic in the park or the backyard even. It doesn't matter what or where you do something, just that you take the time with the family to do something. Spending time together is one of the hardest things to do once your children start getting older and spend their time with friends or are working even. If you begin scheduling that family time when they are little, the kids will expect and even cherish it as they get older. It is something to look forward to for everyone.

Schedule a Family Portrait Session

A Family Session will allow you to spend quality time together as a family. I will help you create and capture precious memories to share and reminisce for years to come at your session. Those beautiful images we create together could also assist you in getting those Christmas Cards ready early so that you can relax and enjoy your holidays in November and December instead of running around trying to get that done. And think of the Christmas gifts you could check off your list too. I'm sure Grandma would love a portrait of the family, and Dad may even like a mini-album or framed image of his precious children in his office to remind him why he works so hard.

Schedule a Portrait Session for your children.

Your sweet children are growing up so fast. How can we stop it? I can freeze time; This is where I am like a Charmed One! A portrait session freezes time in beautifully captured images. I aim to capture your child's personality at any age. You can relive your child's life with the portraits created through the years. Every time you walk past the heirloom quality artwork created with the images of your child or children, I guarantee your heart will smile!

There is no way to stop time physically, but we can metaphorically with images and memories. Take time to enjoy family and reflect on your memories. Where and when you can capture the moments through photography. Don't forget to print all these captured images with care on archival quality mediums with heirloom-quality displays. Albums & Calendars are a great way to look back often. Every time you walk past, the wall art will spark a memory or a smile. If you are looking for a professional who can capture your special moments and provide heirloom quality artwork for your home,  I would love to serve you.
