Portraits capture moments that matter.

June is a time to celebrate dads, grads, end-of-school-year activities, and of course, summer.  With COVID restrictions easing up, the US getting closer to vaccine goals,  and warmer weather upon us, we will all be spending more time outdoors with family and friends, making lasting friendships at camp, special memories while vacationing at the beach or in the mountains.

Here are some tips and ideas to ensure you celebrate and memorialize these.

Celebrate your graduate

Graduation day is a right of passage and commemoration of accomplishment.  Be sure to document your graduate and graduation, whether from kindergarten, high school, or college.  When capturing these images, be sure to include family, cap and gown, and other keepsakes to document this milestone. If you forgot to schedule a portrait session with your favorite photographer, you could always set up an appointment after the fact.

Show Dad some love

We celebrate Father's day with presents to dad, which typically include a new tie, a T-Shirt, or a BBQ apron. Dads love photos of their children just as much as moms do.  Why not celebrate with a portrait session with dad and kids? I'm sure dad would love a beautifully framed image on his desk of him and his children, reminding him of his favorite people and all the love between them every day at work.  Mom, be sure to capture the tender moments between dad and child when he is not paying attention; these moments are precious.

Rock the recital costumes through the years

As school comes to a close before the summer begins, our little and big dancers celebrate all they have accomplished throughout the year at their dance recitals.  Each year these children grow up and change so quickly.  Be sure to capture them in their latest costume so that you can look back through the years and see how they have grown.  If your studio doesn't schedule a photo day for their students, you can schedule a session with a local photographer.  You can also take these images yourself in a pinch.  Just be sure your child is not in harsh lighting, and the background is plain as not to distract from the dancer and their costume.

Document Summer fun

What does summer bring for you and your family?  Is it summer camp for the kids? Vacation at the beach or lake? Do you prefer the mountains or the pool in your backyard? Where ever you are, keep your camera handy. These every summer moments are essential to capture so that you and your family can look back on them in the years to come and reminisce about childhood and family fun.  Do you want to join in the fun?  Or are you stressed trying to capture that perfect moment?  Schedule a lifestyle session at your favorite summer location or vacation spot with the kids. Let the photographer capture special moments on location.

Whether you hire a professional or do it yourself, remember to stop and capture these precious moments so you and your family can cherish them for years to come. If you are looking for a professional who can capture your special moments and provide heirloom quality artwork for your home,  I would love to serve you where ever you are.
